Spaulding Seeks Interviews
Spaulding for Children recognizes that there are still disparities in the delivery and accessibility of health care and other human services. To eliminate these disparities and to deliver meaningful services, helping professionals must work effectively in cross-cultural situations. In developing a training curriculum in cultural competence in adoption, one of the key goals is to have culturally responsive interviews with adoptive families, adult adoptees, and birth mothers to capture the perspectives from various cultures in Hawaii - Hawaiian, Asian, and Filipino. These interviews will be held during the week of August 25, 2008. Interested persons should contact Jeanette Matsumoto at 988-7981.
